Ancestral Sources Main Screen: General

The main screen works in different ways depending on the source being entered. You can choose the source type from the View menu or by choosing the appropriate button on the toolbar.

There are individual main screen help pages for each source type. Select these from the list below:

• Ancestral Sources Main Screen: Census Records
• Ancestral Sources Main Screen: Baptism Records
• Ancestral Sources Main Screen: Birth Records
• Ancestral Sources Main Screen: Marriage Records
• Ancestral Sources Main Screen: Death Records
• Ancestral Sources Main Screen: Burial/Cremation Records
• Ancestral Sources Main Screen: Monumental Inscription Records
• Other source types are not available in this version of Ancestral Sources

Also in the view menu and on the tool bar is the option to Add Images to Existing Sources. As the name suggests this can be used to link new or existing images to sources that have already been created in your file. Currently only census, birth, baptism, marriage, death and burial/cremation sources are supported but as the other source types are added to Ancestral Sources in future versions, this will be capable of adding images to those sources too.
